The Iranian Students’ Academic & Cultural Organization (ISACO) is a group founded in April 1988 at the University of Texas at Austin. Our main goal is to enhance the academic and cultural orientation of Iranian students at the University of Texas at Austin through social, community service, and cultural events. ISACO is non-profit and independent of any political or religious beliefs. With your contribution, ISACO will be able to offer students the opportunity to join a wonderful organization that will provide an array of opportunities and an extended network at the University of Texas. Thanks to your support, we will be and have been able to:
➢ Develop programs and hold meetings to enhance the educational, cultural, and social performance of Iranian students
➢ Offer scholarships to outstanding Iranian students at UT Austin
➢ Assist non-native Persian students in their transition to America
➢ Invite guest speakers for students
➢ Organize our annual Performing Arts Show benefiting charity. We showcase the rich Iranian culture through Persian dance, poetry, and music.
➢ Organize additional fundraisers for OneStar Foundation, Children of Persia, Refuge Services of Texas, and other charitable foundations.
➢ Hold campus wide Iranian celebrations to educate the university community, including for Jashne Mehregan, Chahar-shanbe Soori, and Eid Noruz
➢ Participate in campus events and sports- such as tabling festivals, soccer and basketball
➢ Organize events that focus on building relationships and creating friendships
